Actor Spotlight: Britt Robertson

        By Kit Caldwell        Brittany Robertson – starring in the upcoming films Tomorrowland and The Longest Ride – is a 24-year-old American actress from North Carolina. She is the oldest of seven children and was homeschooled as a child. Britt started acting at the Greenville Little Theater in South Carolina. As a teenager, she moved to Los Angeles to live with her grandmother and pursue an acting career.

        From the early 2000s to the present, Britt has taken on many teenage roles. In 2007 she was cast as Cara, one of Dan’s daughters in Dan in Real Life. She later went on to play a larger role as Beth in the 2010 film Cherry. That year Britt also played a character by the name of Chapin Wright in the film Triple Dog. From 2010 to 2011 she starred in the TV series Life Unexpected as a foster child named Lux. Her career has blossomed over the years, demonstrated by her starring roles in the 2012 film The First Time and 2014 film Ask Me Anything.Britt seems to play similar of teenage roles in film and TV shows. In Disney’s upcoming film Tomorrowland, Britt plays a troubled teen searching for answers to a mysterious world she has discovered. This film, in which she works alongside George Clooney, is released on May 22, 2015. She also has a leading role in The Longest Ride, a film based on the popular Nicholas Sparks novel. Britt plays an older role, a college student named Sophia who falls in love with former bull-riding champion Luke, portrayed by Scott Eastwood. This film came to theaters April 10, 2015.

She stars in the slightly less-advertised film, Cook, as well. Britt Robertson is an amazing actress who perfectly fulfills her roles. We are bound to see her face on the big screen for many years to come.
