Gorillaz Reuniting in 2016

By Louie Wieseman

According to Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz is reuniting! Well, really just Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the duo behind the project.

He made the announcement on Instagram with three pictures previewing new drawings of Noodle and Murdoc. (Here’s the other Murdoc picture he posted) Their last two albums were Plastic Beach and The Fall, released in 2010 and 2011 respectively.

The band has been on hiatus since 2012 after high tensions, but things seem to have simmered down. Albarn announced that he will drop new work in 2016 during an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald.

All I have to say is “finally!”
