‘Paddington’ Comes To Life In New Trailer, Poster

Sit down and grab a marmalade sandwich, because a new trailer and poster for Paddington have arrived.

The live-action/CGI film is based on Michael Bond’s beloved children’s book series about a bear from deep in the Peruvian jungle who is sent to England by his Aunt Lucy in search of a better life.

Upon arriving at London’s Paddington Station, Paddington (voiced by Colin Firth) meets the kindhearted Mr. and Mrs. Brown (Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins) who find him with a label around his neck, reading “Please look after this bear. Thank you.” While Paddington searches for the English explorer whom inspired Aunt Lucy years before, he catches the attention of a sinister taxidermist (Nicole Kidman) who becomes a threat to his existence.
Although the film’s plot is not presented in the trailer, the cute clip features Paddington getting into a bit of a predicament while getting ready for bed at the Browns’ home. The bear is also featured prominently on the movie’s new poster, wearing his signature red bush hat and blue duffle coat.

Paddington is produced by David Heyman (Harry PotterGravity) and also stars Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, and Peter Capaldi. The film will hit theaters in the U.S. December 25.
