Mrs. Doubtfire, the 1993 comedy starring Robin Williams, may be getting a sequel after twenty-one years. Though Fox 2000 studio has had the idea for a while, it had been on hold since 2001.
That is, until director Chris Columbus and Robin Williams agreed on a story. David Berenbaum, writer for the hit Christmas movie Elf
, has been hired to write the sequel’s script. Robin Williams and Chris Columbus are attached to the project, which should relieve anxieties of the original movie’s fans.
This sequel is in the early stages of planning, but will be something for movie-goers to keep an eye out for in the future.
