Many beloved television shows have recently been revived. Netflix has continued Arrested Development and a Veronica Mars movie is coming to theatres soon. Now Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller is working to bring back his ABC show, Pushing Daisies, while fans of the show could not be more excited.
Pushing Daisies is a whimsical detective show starring Lee Pace as Ned the piemaker, who can bring the dead to life but only for a minute. Ned and his friends: Chuck (Anna Friel), Olive Snook (Kristin Chenoweth), and Detective Emerson Cod (Chi McBride), use Ned’s power to solve murder cases by bringing the victims back to life to help them catch the killer. Pushing Daisies became a cult favorite because of its witty dialogue and its quirky take on the murder mystery genre. The series ran for two seasons on ABC before it was cancelled in 2009.
Recently Fuller has revealed that he is considering bringing back the show as a movie or a broadway production. Another chance to see their favorite shows, even through different mediums, is enough to make any fan excited. Though nothing is set in stone, Fuller and Pushing Daisies director Barry Sonnenfeld hope to bring their show back from the dead.
